Lean Change Element

Meaningful Dialogue

We believe in enabling meaningful dialogue over broadcasting information at people

Meaningful Dialogue

Meaningful Dialogue vs traditional thinking

Two different assumptions about how change should work.

Lean Change

Meaningful dialogue brings out the perspectives needed to help people align around a common purpose.

Traditional Change Management

What is often called 'change communications' is more often than not just broadcasting. Newsletters, SharePoint sites don't encourage meaningful dialogue.

Communications people might say things like "we need to enable 2-way communications", which sounds like dialogue, but there is a key different.

We view meaningful dialogue as a way to change the change. That might mean questioning the intent of the change, or even exploring what the right change is. "2-way communications" often manifests itself in Q&A sessions, town halls and other activities that are used to get people to buy into a change that's already been decided upon.
