Negotiation
We focus on delaying decision making to the last responsible moment in order to negotiate the right way forward.

Negotiation vs traditional thinking
Two different assumptions about how change should work.
Lean Change
We're always up for negotiating the why, what, when and how of the change. It's more important to be open to evolving the change.
Traditional Change Management
The why and what are non-negotiable. Stakeholders have already laid out and communicated the vision for the change.
Our philosophy around negotiation is about always remaining open to new ideas for how to move forward. Sometimes this means we, the change agents, need to act as a broker between those affected by the change, and those asking for the change.
This is precisely why this philosophy is part of the Meaningful Dialogue Universal. If people don't feel the change is up for negotiation you may end up with a situation of malicious compliance.
