BIG/NEXT/NOW
This core element helps us align and manage our change work. It's a mental model for how to focus on what matters now, and what can wait until later within our longer term strategy.

BIG/NEXT/NOW vs traditional thinking
Two different assumptions about how change should work.
Lean Change
The act of planning is useful, clinging to a bad plan is not. BIG/NEXT/NOW helps us focus on the right level of planning at the right time so we can focus on what matters without losing sight of our longer term strategy.
Traditional Change Management
The planning and analysis phase is when we finalize our plan, comms strategy and execution. It's critical to get this right from the start. This approach ensures control over execution but may reduce flexibility.
At the beginning of change, uncertainty is at its highest. At the start of change initiatives we have a pocket full of money, and an empty head. This element uses the power of incremental and iterative agile delivery by helping you move away from thinking you need to get it all right upfront.
The BIG view is our long-term, or strategic view. We want to know we're at least pointed in the right direction.

The BIG view is your strategic view. It will evolve over time, but it sets the direction for what to do NEXT and NOW.
NEXT can be tricky. Next week? Next month? The time horizon depends on the type of change and how short, or wide your Explore -> Act cycle is.
When using a pull-based approach, the NOW view helps you focus on the most important actions to do now that will move you closer to the goal outlined in your BIG strategic view.
