Lean Change Element

Uncertainty

When we're uncertain, we always invoke dialogue with those affected by the change versus making a 'better plan'

Uncertainty

Uncertainty vs traditional thinking

Two different assumptions about how change should work.

Lean Change

We view uncertainty as an opportunity to truly engage the people affected by the change.

Traditional Change Management

Uncertainty is a result of bad planning. If we planned properly, we'd know what to do.

VUCA, VUCA, VUCA. Isn't it funny how so many people overly simplify VUCA because it's so popular nowadays? There are plenty of factors that contribute to it.

It's an unhelpful simplification to say the world is getting more complex, we need to forge new paths ahead. Sure it might be inspiring to hear that, but how helpful is it?
