Ride the Current
Sometimes organizations aren't ready for change. RIDING THE CURRENT is the opposite approach of DISRUPTION. Think of taking baby steps and piggybacking new behaviours on top of old ones.

Ride the Current vs traditional thinking
Two different assumptions about how change should work.
Lean Change
Sometimes the best way forward is to change in a way that the organization expects.
Traditional Change Management
We can't accommodate everyone, that simply reinforces the status quo.
All organizations have natural rhythms and a way of doing things. Riding the current means facilitating change in a way that aligns with the organization's natural pace of change and expectations about how change is done.
This approach works best when you believe there will be a high friction if you stray too far from the norms. Change will definitely move at a slower pace, but that might be the best approach to start.
