Lean Change Element

Curiosity

When we don't see change happening, we seek to understand.

Curiosity

Curiosity vs traditional thinking

Two different assumptions about how change should work.

Lean Change

Get curious, not furious. When it seems like people are resisting change, exceptional change agents dig deeper.

Traditional Change Management

The change framework has everything we need to know what's going on.

According to Hal Gregersen, kids aged six to 18 years of age ask one question per class per month. Teachers, on the other hand, ask kids 291 questions a day.

We've put more stock in answers than questions. Naturally curious change agents will spend more time uncovering the right questions to ask versus providing solutions and answers without insights.
