Lean Change Element

Coalescence

As the change EMERGES, a point is reached when the chaos is too painful and the desire for structure takes the change into the next wave.

Coalescence

Coalescence vs traditional thinking

Two different assumptions about how change should work.

Lean Change

When we feel the need to be more organized, we implement the least amount of process possible.

Traditional Change Management

There must be a plan in place, best-practice change process, and clear roles and responsibilities so we stay organized and focused.

ScienceBig IdeasPart of Waves of Change

As change emerges, for some, it can feel too chaotic. That might mean there are no formal structures in place, which is a pattern of what is called “managing change from the side of your desk”.

That means there is no official change team or consultants, someone asking for the change simply asked someone to get’er done.
