Culture Hacking 2 was introduced to the Agile community by Stefan Haas. I was skeptical when I first heard the term, but after attending Stefan’s session on culture hacking at the LESS 2012 conference, I was sold!
I like to use Culture Hacking in a couple of different ways. First, for it’s actual intent: Expose an organization’s dysfunction to itself. It’s a great, and visual, way to prioritize Options.
Second, I like to use it as a metaphor for change agents. How far outside the norms should you live when working as a change agent? Sometimes when I’m talking to a client, I purposely push outside the boundaries to provoke a deeper conversation.
